What is Bravo for Oceans?
At BravoCoupon.com.my, we believe real change starts with conscious choices. For this reason, in 2022 we launched Bravo for Oceans, an initiative created to actively support the protection of our planet.
Through this project, we committed to supporting the removal of at least 5,500 lbs of marine waste, including plastic and other debris, recovered by local fishermen in various regions around the world. In 2026, we are proud to continue this commitment, once again working toward the same impactful objective.
This initiative is made possible thanks to Ogyre, an international startup that collaborates with fishing communities to collect marine litter in Italy, Indonesia, and Brazil. Ogyre’s work not only helps safeguard ocean ecosystems but also generates economic opportunities for communities that are directly affected by the decline of marine resources. With its strong expertise and global presence, Ogyre is a key partner in helping us achieve our environmental goals.
Bravo for Oceans: How can you get involved?
Would you like to contribute as well? It’s simple.
Every purchase made through BravoCoupon.com.my between January and December directly supports this initiative, allowing you to play an active role in the preservation of marine environments.
Thanks to your support, we will once again be able to remove 5,500 lbs of waste from the oceans, an amount comparable to around 250,000 plastic bottles.
Take part in Bravo for Oceans and help us protect the seas for future generations.
Our Commitment Beyond Bravo for Oceans
Earth Day
First introduced in 1989 following a proposal by peace activist John McConnell at a UNESCO conference in San Francisco, Earth Day is celebrated worldwide on April 22. The occasion promotes environmental awareness and highlights urgent global challenges such as pollution, unsustainable resource use, and ecosystem degradation.
World Environment Day
Observed every year on June 5 since 1974, World Environment Day was established by the United Nations to encourage global action in support of environmental protection.
This year’s focus is plastic pollution: more than 400 million tons of plastic are produced annually, with roughly half designed for single use. Between 19 and 23 million tons end up in waterways and oceans each year, causing long-lasting harm to marine life and habitats.
World Oceans Day
Oceans cover over 70% of the Earth’s surface, host the majority of global biodiversity, and generate more than half of the oxygen we breathe. Their role in sustaining life on Earth is essential.
Celebrated on June 8, World Oceans Day raises awareness of the importance of healthy seas and encourages collective responsibility from governments, businesses, and individuals alike.
World Cleanup Day
Originating in 2008 in Estonia, World Cleanup Day began when entrepreneur Rainer Nõlvak organized a nationwide effort that removed 10,000 tons of waste in just a few hours. The initiative quickly expanded internationally and officially became World Cleanup Day in 2018, coordinated by the NGO Let’s Do It! World.
Held each year on the third weekend of September, the event unites millions of volunteers worldwide in clean-up activities, sending a clear message about the dangers of abandoned waste to the environment.
